TERIYAKI SAUCE
Makes 1/2 cup

1/2 c	japanese soy sauce
1/2 c	white sugar
1/2 tsp	grated fresh ginger
3	medium cloves garlic, pressed
2 tbs	mirin
1/2 tsp	cornstarch

Mix mirin and cornstartch until no lumps remain. Add remaining
ingredients to a small saucepan and stir in mirin/cornstartch. Bring
to a simmer over medium-high heat and reduce until bubbles start
to collect on the surface.
